Transcription: To prepare medicine from an ampoule for an injection, a small gauze pad is wrapped around the neck of the ampoule and the top is snapped off quickly. The syringe needle is inserted, the ampoule inverted, and the plunger is pulled back slowly to allow the medicine to enter the syringe. When all of the medicine has entered the syringe, the needle is removed from the ampoule.
